Terms of service
Last updated: 3 January 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Brackford. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and your purchase of products from us.
By placing an order on our site, you agree to these Terms. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer protection laws, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
2. Description of Products
We sell home and lifestyle products as described on our website. Product descriptions, images, dimensions and specifications are provided for guidance and may vary slightly from the delivered item due to manufacturing tolerances or display settings. We take all reasonable care to ensure that product details, prices, and availability are accurate at the time they are published.
3. Purchases & Payment
Prices are shown in GBP. UK delivery is free on all orders. There are no hidden fees: you will see the total price, including any mandatory delivery charges and taxes, before confirming your order. No duties or taxes are payable on delivery (DDP).
We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout. Payment is taken at the point of order.
You must provide accurate and complete billing information.
An order is accepted only when we send a confirmation email; until then, no binding contract exists.
4. Delivery Policy
We deliver to addresses within the United Kingdom as displayed on our website.
Unless otherwise agreed, we will deliver your order within 30 days from the date of contract.
Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered to you or to a person you have designated.
If delivery is delayed for reasons beyond our control, we will inform you and offer the choice of continuing to wait or cancelling for a full refund.
Delivery costs and estimated timescales are displayed before you complete your purchase.
5. Returns & Cancellations
5.1 Your Right to Cancel (Cooling-Off Period)
Under UK law, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days after receiving your goods, without giving any reason.
As part of our store policy, we extend this cancellation period to 30 calendar days from the day you (or someone you nominate) receive your goods.
To cancel, you must inform us within this 30-day period using our contact email address: sac@brackford.co.uk. You may use the model cancellation form we provide, though it is not mandatory.
5.2 Return of Goods
After notifying us of your decision to cancel, you have an additional 14 days to return the goods.
Returns for change of mind are free of charge: we provide a prepaid return label with all eligible orders.
If goods are faulty, damaged, or not as described, we will also arrange and cover the cost of return shipping.
Refunds include the full purchase price and the standard outbound delivery charge (if applicable).
5.3 Goods That Cannot Be Returned
- Items made to your specifications or clearly personalised.
- Sealed items (such as certain cosmetics or hygiene products) which have been unsealed after delivery.
- Perishable goods.
5.4 Faulty or Misdescribed Goods
If goods are faulty or misdescribed, you are entitled to remedies under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the short-term right to reject within 30 days, repair or replacement within 6 months, and further rights up to 6 years depending on circumstances.
6. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by UK law.
We are not responsible for any losses that were not foreseeable to both parties when the contract was made.
We will not be liable for business losses, including loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of opportunity, as we sell only to consumers for domestic use.
7. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a resident of Scotland or Northern Ireland, you retain any mandatory protections provided by the laws of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
8. Alternative Dispute Resolution
We are not obliged to use, and do not currently commit to using, any specific Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) provider. If you have a complaint, please contact us directly so we can attempt to resolve it.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will not apply retrospectively to orders already placed. The date of the latest version will be stated at the top of this page.
